New funding opportunity
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

February, 2017

Do you dream of earning a senior faculty position in medicine, dentistry, or nursing? Would you take joy in mentoring early-career medical professionals who will be the next generation of leaders?

Applications are now open for the 2017 cohort of Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program Scholars. This program works to increase diversity among medical, nursing, and dentistry faculty.

Up to 10 selected program scholars are eligible for:

  • A four-year postdoctoral award of up to $420,000

  • An annual stipend of $75,000

  • An annual grant of $30,000 to support research

  • Additional awards available through partnership organizations

Supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—and a desire to build a Culture of Health in America—the Harold Amos program acts on the belief that an ever-changing health care landscape requires capable, diverse leadership. We strongly encourage applicants from “historically disadvantaged backgrounds,” which refers to challenges individuals may have faced because of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, physical, learning or other disability, or who are first-generation college graduates.
