Washers Tournament and Public Safety Cook-Off to Benefit SOTX Athletes on June 4 at Old Settlers Park

Law enforcement agencies from the Austin and Round Rock area will host the Flame of Hope Washers Tournament and Public Safety Cook-Off on Saturday, June 4 at Old Park’s Virgil Rabb Pavilion. All proceeds from the event will support Special Olympics Texas athletes in the Central Texas Area.


The Washers Tournament will get underway at11:00 a.m. and follow a double elimination format. Complete rules for the tournament can be found here. Public safety units will cook for attendees from Noon – 2:00 p.m.


To participate in the Washers Tournament, the cost is $50 for a team of two. The fee includes a t-shirt and a meal ticket, allowing players to try food from the Public Safety Cook-Off.


Those interested in cooking can sign up forfree, but will have to fill out the Williamson County Health permit and send it to the address listed on the application. The Health Department will waive the fee if you are a public safety officer and cooking for Special Olympics Texas.


Washers Tournament family and friends may purchase a food ticket to try the cook-off food for $5 at the event.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)
