San Antonio Law Enforcement Agencies to Stake Out Roof of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Special Olympics Texas

Officers from San Antonio-area law enforcement agencies will occupy the rooftop of Krispy Kreme Doughnutslocated at 12328 IH-10 West, during “Cops on Top” on Friday, April 8 from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Texas (SOTX).

Patrons are encouraged to grab their morning coffee and breakfast during those hours and tip local police officers for their dedicated effort to support SOTX athletes. All proceeds from Cops on Top will go on to provide programming for nearly 10,400 SOTX athletes in the San Antonio area.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle.  In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation.  In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $12 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX.  The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve more than 55,200 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
