Timely story/highlight for this time of year- Broadcast premiere ofGhost Stories of El Paso Volume 3 on KCOS- October 23rd at 7 pm

October, 2014

KCOS, El Paso’s PBS Station, and Capstone Productions Inc. announce the broadcast premiere of "Ghost Stories of El Paso Vol.3” at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 on El Paso’s PBS station on Channel 13 over-the-air and on cable.

These are all-new stories and visits to some of El Paso’s most haunted and historic locations. And for the first time, psychic Diana Calamia and her crew of ghost trackers capture an image of spirits as they begin to take on human form.

In “Ghost Stories of El Paso, Volume 3." Diana talks to spirits – and the spirits talk back – as she works to crack El Paso’s most famous missing persons case: the missing Pattersons from 1957.

She and her team also visit a local theater that’s having trouble with spirits, and a restaurant where ghosts are throwing things. And they also meet the spirit of an ancient shaman who has an important message for modern-day humans.

Diana and her team were named “ghost trackers” by El Paso Times reporter Ramon Renteria, who was with them the night that they recorded the astonishing image of two ghostly apparitions.  “Ghost Stories of El Paso, Volume 3" also includes a preview of Diana’s night time tour of the former Asarco smelter, one of the most haunted places they’ve ever been.

The new film follows Capstone Production’s successful 2008 and 2009 films, “Ghost Stories of El Paso, Volume 1 and Volume 2." The films are not intended to prove or disprove ghost stories, but to explore some of the legends and folk tales that are part of El Paso’s rich history.

“KCOS is pleased to work with El Paso’s filmmaker Jackson Polk of Capstone Productions,” said Emily Loya, KCOS Chief Marketing Officer. “Our audiences will see El Paso history up close through Jackson’s work.  We welcome programs about El Paso history.”

DVDs of the program " Ghost Stories of El Paso, Volume 3” will be available as thank you gifts for donors to the KCOS October 23rd pledge drive. For more information, visit www.kcostv.organd
