Morgan’s Wonderland To Welcome Winner of National Contest for Special-Needs Students Oct. 20

WHO:                   10-year-old Dylan Horne of Bryant, Ark., who has been diagnosed with autism, plus members of his family.

WHAT:                 Special “grand prize” visit to Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first ultra-accessible family fun park designed with special-needs individuals of all ages in mind. 

                                PCI Education, Dell and the WeAreTeachers organization asked special-education teachers across the country to nominate deserving students for the trip of a lifetime to Morgan’s Wonderland.  Dylan is this year’s grand-prize winner.

WHEN:                 Scheduled to arrive at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.

WHERE:               Morgan’s Wonderland, 5223 David Edwards Drive (at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive just off IH 35 in Northeast San Antonio).

WHY:                    To salute the PCI Education, Dell and WeAreTeachers grand-prize winner and to enable Dylan and his family to make memories together at Morgan’s Wonderland.

ETC.:                      Morgan’s Wonderland, which is completely wheelchair-accessible, features more than 25 elements and attractions including rides, playgrounds, gardens, an eight-acre catch-and-release fishing lake, 18,000-square-foot special-events center, 575-seat amphitheater, picnic area and rest areas.  For more information, visit  The theme park, nearby STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex, Monarch Academy school for students with special needs and the San Antonio Scorpions FC pro soccer team were created through the vision and leadership of The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation.  STAR Soccer and Scorpions net profits help support non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland.
