The Friends in Song concert features Renaissance, Baroque, Classic, and Romantic period music by some of the CCGD's oldest friends: Bach, Handel, Mozart, Schumann, Schubert and Tchaikovsky. The concert also unites CCGD with new friends from two outstanding local school choruses: the T.G. Terry Elementary School T.G. Terry Singers under the direction of Gwen Farris and the Jimmie Tyler Brashear Elementary School Brashear Bear Glee Club under the direction of Shaunda Butler. The evening will include a CCGD Youth Chorus presentation of W.A. Mozart's Missa Brevis in C, KV 220 accompanied by an instrumental ensemble. Cynthia Nott, Linda Harley, Terrie Preskitt-Brown, Nora Henson, and Kelly Pfaffenberger will conduct.
