Bobwhite quail survey needs your input
Texas Wildlife Association

March, 2012

Bobwhite quail populations have declined across their range in Texas and the United States. Losses of habitat, habitat fragmentation, and to a lesser extent, climatic conditions, are believed to be the primary causes for bobwhite quail declines.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is attempting to measure the impact of bobwhite quail declines on hunting and harvest rates and practices by surveying bobwhite quail hunters via the Internet.

The Texas Wildlife Association has agreed to help facilitate this endeavor by providing the following survey link:

TPWD has requested that we assist in distributing this survey to TWA members and supporters. This survey is not the responsibility of TWA, and your name will not be associated with any survey results compiled by TPWD.
TWA encourages you to participate in this survey, if you haven't done so already. TPWD is considering possible regulatory options to address the bobwhite quail situation, and your individual input is vital. TWA is engaged at the organizational level, as regulatory options are discussed that could possibly change quail season dates and bag limits.
